Title: Between Imagination and Construction: A Review of Professor Ding Linpeng’s New Book Imagining Canada: Nation in Canadian Literature

Abstract: The study of the issue of “Canadianness” cannot be separated from the perspective of national construction, and “imagined communities” play a very important role in national construction. Professor Ding Linpeng’s new book, Imagining Canada: Nation in Canadian Literature, focuses on the national construction of Canadian literature, reveals the role of literary imagination in the construction of Canadian nationality in different periods, stimulates more problem awareness about the study of “Canadianness” in the literary field, and explores the rich literary theory construction and text criticism value contained within, so as to re-understand the historical and practical significance of “Canadianness” from the perspective of literary imagination.
