摘要：《拉合尔茶馆的陌生人》通过悬念设置、形象塑造和空间书写等叙事策略在显性与隐性并行的叙事结构中揭示了后“9·11”时代身份、权力与文化冲突的复杂性。小说首先在显性层面设置了关于陌生人的身份悬念，然后在隐性叙事进程中暗藏反转。此外，哈米德还从形象塑造的角度展现了昌盖兹在双重叙事进程中的矛盾形象，既是文化冲突下的“受害者”，也是全球化体系中的“加害者”。该小说在显性叙事中以不同的空间场景串联起昌盖兹的故事经历，而隐性叙事通过氛围营造、细节描摹和人物互动，揭示出潜藏于该空间内的权力关系、文化张力与心理状态。这一叙事策略促使读者重新审视全球化背景下个体与集体、东方与西方的动态关系。

Title: On the Dual Narrative Procession in The Reluctant Fundamentalist
Abstract: The Reluctant Fundamentalist employs narrative strategies such as suspense, characterization, and spatial representation to reveal the complexities of identity, power, and cultural conflict in the post-9·11 era through a dual narrative structure that operates on both explicit and implicit levels. At the explicit level, the novel establishes suspense strategy on the identity of the stranger, while the implicit narrative process conceals an underlying reversal. Furthermore, Hamid portrays Changez as a contradictory figure in this dual narrative progression—both a “victim” of cultural clashes and a “perpetrator” within the globalization. On the explicit level, the novel connects Changez’s experiences through various spatial settings, while the implicit narrative, through atmosphere creation, detailed descriptions, and character interactions, reveals the underlying power dynamics, cultural tensions, and psychological states hidden in these spaces. This narrative strategy urges readers to re-examine the dynamic relationships between the individual and the collective, and between the East and the West in the context of globalization.
